Problem mit "Western Digital MyBook Studio 1TB"

Gerade ist das Phänomen wieder aufgetreten. Die Platte ist per USB angeschlossen. Ich hoffe, die Angaben sagen etwas aus.

Es sind auf der Platte noch 198GB für die Sicherung frei…

Naja, aber vor der LOW_DISK Warnung kommen doch einige Timeout-Meldungen.

Hast Du die Möglichkeit die Platte intern an einen Mac oder PC anzuschliessen? Oder extern an einen PC?

Es handelt sich um ein Problem mit der USB-Verbindung zur Platte. Es könnte sein, dass die USB-Bridge im Plattengehäuse defekt ist, es könnte aber auch nur ein inkompatibler Hub oder ein fehlerhaftes Anschlusskabel sein. Vielleicht ist die Firmware der Platte auch nicht ganz mit den Aufwecksignalen von Mac OS X kompatibel.

Man sieht hier, dass Mac OS X verzweifelt versucht, 4 Sekunden nach dem Aufwachen Befehle über den USB-Bus zu senden, aber offenbar hängt die gesamte Kommunikation an diesem USB-Anschluss:

Davon betroffen sind auch die Befehle, die nach dem Aufwachen prüfen, welche Geräte gerade am USB-Bus hängen:

Mac OS X "weiß" aber, dass eine externe Festplatte gemountet war und vermisst sie jetzt, da sie auf keine Befehle mehr reagiert. Die externe Platte wird als "mitten im Betrieb ausgestöpselt" behandelt:

Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher, wie die Zusammenhänge sind, aber sieht so aus, als würde Spotlight die fehlende Platte danach als "Platte mit zu wenig Speicher" interpretieren, so dass alle Indexprüfungen fehlschlagen:

Und auch das HFS+-Journal auf der betreffenden Platte ist nicht mehr zu retten, so dass auch da alle Operationen abgebrochen werden müssen:

Ich schaue immer wieder mal bei iBood vorbei und frage mich ob die Angebote wirklich gut sind.
Gut das bis jetzt noch nix dabei war, was mich wirklich interessiert hat.

Ist dieses iBood eine seriöse Firma?
Zum Angebot: Woher sie die 219,95 € haben, bleibt ihr Geheimnis, zuletzt kostete sie so ungefähr 125 €. Außerdem ist die Platte mit 750 GB meines Wissens nicht mehr aktuell. Und drittens ist das Produkt an sich nicht gerade der große Wurf.
Trotzdem sind 99 Euro ein guter Preis, ist man sich der Einschränkungen bewusst.

Ich glaube schon.

Es gibt mehrere dieser Anbieter, die nur einen Artikle pro Tag, in begrenztem Stückzahl anbieten.

Ich schaue ab und zu mal rein und glaube schon, da liegt manchmal ein Schnäppchen drin.
Ob man es an diesem Tag wirklich benötigt, ist eine andere Sache.

Auf die schnelle gegoogelt scheint das Angebot günstig.
Das iBood-Angebot steht bei Google übrigens auch ganz oben.
