Naja. Es gibt schon verdammt gut gemachte Phishing-Seiten.

Das stimmt natürlich schon. Aber WER geht über einen Link, der per eMail gesandt wurde z.B. auf ne Bankseite? Die Banken raten ja stets, man soll sich entweder nen Link als Schnellzugriff einrichten, oder über die Webseite der Bank einloggen.
Eine TAN einzutippen, ohne dass man seinen aktuellen Kontostand sieht ist ja auch dämlich…
Wenn man die Zugriffsdaten und Tans gleichzeitig eingeben soll, kann was nicht stimmen. Eine Aktualisierung des Kontos läuft bestimmt nicht per e-Mail und über das Internet…
Ich kaufe z.B. auch nie per Kreditkarte ein - benötigte ich bisher aber auch noch nie.

P. S. Hab gerade rausgefunden, dass Safari auch mit der Version 3.2 nichts von seinem alten charmanten Eigenschaften eingebüsst hat. Es stürzt immer noch gerne mal bei mir ab.

Echt? Ist mir in den letzten Monaten trotz ständig vieler offener Tabs nicht mehr passiert. Hast Du da eine Beispielseite?

Z.B. wenn ich auf http://www.apfeltalk.de/forum/apfelshow-2-a-t179398.html gehe und dort das Video starte. Ich glaube fast ich habe ein paar QuickTime PlugIns zu viel (Flip4Mac, Perian usw.) die sich vielleicht nicht so gut vertragen mit Safari.

Danke für den Tipp mit ~/Library/Safari, ich habe mal "etwas ausgemistet" und schau mal ob es von jetzt an stabiler läuft.

Klar, aber es gibt womöglich noch andere Angriffspunkte. Vielleicht hat man sich vertippt und die Phisher spekulieren darauf, sichern sich also amaxon.de? Nur mal als blödes Beispiel. Oder man klickt im vermeintlichen Werbenewsletter vom Freemail-Anbieter auf das tolle Handy-Angebot, stöbert, klickt rum, und loggt sich am Ende doch ein, um kurz die Mails zu checken. Oder man fängt sich ein Schadprogramm ein, daß die URL-Anfragen umbiegt…
Dann gab es da natürlich noch die Probleme mit DNS an sich. Das Netz selbst ist also auch nicht unverwundbar.

Na gut, sicher muss man bei Bankseiten eine gewisse Unerfahrenheit oder -aufmerksamkeit aufweisen, um Opfer zu werden. Andererseits logge ich mich z.B. bei meiner Raiba ein, die leitet mich dann weiter an eine ganz andere Adresse… welcher Normalbürger kennt schon Fiducia? Die helfen schon mit bei der Verwirrung.

Aber es gibt ja noch andere Seiten, wo man viel Geld oder den guten Ruf verlieren kann: Ebay und alle anderen Auktionshäuser, Paypal, alle möglichen Versandhäuser - man kann ja meistens eine andere Lieferadresse eingeben - oder auch Foren, in denen dann unter dem eigenen Namen Spam gepostet wird.

Hier wünsche ich mir die Politik!

Das wäre mal ein richtig gutes Stück Arbeit, was die Damen und Herren abliefern könnten.

Bei PayPal, oder bei der Telekom, im AppleStore....... wenn es mit diesen Firmen "ans eingemachte geht", steht der Kunde allein im Nichts.
Die Politik scheint nicht in der Lage etwas Grundlegendes daran zu ändern.

Ja, unter Umständen sind da echte Phishing-Seiten dabei.
Ich wollte auch eine kundtun, aber die Links gehen alle nicht mehr… haben wohl eine kurze Haltbarkeit, logisch.
Bitte, falls Jemand eine zur Demonstration verlinken will, dann in code-Tags packen.

Was ich ja wieder mal witzig finde:
Den Privatsphären-Aspekt dieses Phishing-Schutzes haben wir ja schon erörtert. Er ist aber trotzdem standardmäßig aktiviert.

Noch mal kurz zu den Abstürzen.
Auf macfixit werden die auch diskutiert. Dabei haben sich drei mögliche(!) Problemkreise gefunden. "Möglich" deshalb, weil man dabei immer vorsichtig sein muss, was da geschrieben wird. Die berichten durchaus auch von Problemen, die einzelne Leute weltweit betreffen und die nicht übertragbar sind. Liegt in der Natur der Sache, wenn die eigentliche Ursache noch nciht geklärt ist. Nun also zu den 3 möglichen Problemen:
- Zusätzliche Code-Patcher. Das sind Programme, die Code von Safari ändern, um zusätzliche Funktionalitäten einzubauen, aber nicht über den offiziellen Weg der Plugins gehen. Dabei wird auch PithHelmet explizit erwähnt. Auch bei früheren Updates war es so, dass Code-Patcher erst an die neue Version angepasst werden müssen. Wenn jemand solche also benutzt, dann bitte deaktivieren oder mit dem Update warten, bis die Code-Patcher auch upgedatet sind.
- Defekte Preferences. Bei einigen scheint es zu helfen, die Preference-Datei oder eben, wie ich oben auch geraten habe, den Inhalt von ~/Library/Safari (teilweise) zu löschen. Warum aber die Preferences ausgerechnet im Moment des Updates kaputt gehen, erschliesst sich mir nicht. Evtl. lag ein Defekt vorher schon vor, der aber noch keine Auswirkungen zeigte.
- Die neue Phishing-Funktion soll bei einigen zu Abstürzen führen und somit das Abschalten derselben Linderung bringen.

Edit: Nach Hinweis von mbs habe ich den Begriff Plugin gegen Code-Patcher ausgetauscht, da meine Bezeichnung falsch war.

PithHelmet war nach früheren Updates gar nicht sichtbar/nutzbar.

Ich habe Safari nun upgedatet und PithHelmet ist verfügbar und "arbeitet".

Anstürze hatte ich beim ersten Startversuch von Safari, seit dem aber nicht meh.
Wäre schön wenn es so bleibt.

Mit Safari-Plugins gibt es normalerweise keine Probleme. Plugins wie z.B. Adobe Flash laufen mit neuen Safari-Versionen genauso gut (oder schlecht  ) wie vorher.

Programme wie PithHelmet sind Code-Patcher. Die funktionieren nicht wie Plugins über offizielle Schnittstellen, sondern hängen sich wie ein Computervirus direkt in den laufenden Code von Safari, indem Teile des Originalprogramms von Apple im Hauptspeicher überschrieben werden. Das muss eigentlich schiefgehen, jedesmal wenn sich der Originalcode ändert, also bei jedem Safari-Update.
