Ich hab’ mit AgileBits paar Mails ausgetauscht, hier die Antwort (mit frdl. Genehmigung):
Yes, we're aware of this and it's not a security breach or anything like that. We've intentionally detailed how our data format works for the security community to review and to allow other apps to use it if they want. It means that your data is not locked into 1Password and if 1Password or AgileBits goes out of business, your data format can be used by another community to pick up after us. All the app is doing is copying your encrypted data and then ask you to enter your master password to decrypt it and once you enter it, it can then use the industry standard encryption processes to decrypt your data and show it to you.
Remember that the app cannot read your decrypted data without you entering the master password first, that's the key to the encryption. It's the same as somebody going up to your company and copy your data file from there but he cannot get into it without knowing your master password.
