Passieren Dinge von denen ich nichts weiß, wenn ich mein Hauptpasswort in den Systemeinstellungen ändere?
Muss man da irgendwas am Schlüsselbund drehen, oder begreift OSX auf Anhieb was ich will?

Du meinst das FileVault Hauptpasswort?
