Mahne auch zur Vorsicht, ich sehe auch den Sinn der App nicht. Funktioniert die generierte Seite von 1Password Anywhere nicht auf iOS?

Hi, ich bin einer der Entwickler von tooPassword. Es ist in der Tat nicht abgesprochen, jedoch handelt es sich beim Agile Keychain Format nach Kerckhoffs' Prinzip um eine offene Spezifikation. Die App "telefoniert" auch nicht zu mir "nach Hause", das können die Jailbreaker gerne bestätigen.

1Password Anywhere ist nicht vergleichbar. tooPassword ist eine native App, die Standardbibliotheken von iOS für kryptographische Algorithmen nutzt. Es hat eine Suche. Es kann offline genutzt werden. Es hat kontext-sensitive Aktionen. Es hat weitere Sicherheitsfunktionen wie "Automatische Speere" und "Zwischenablage leeren". 1Password Anywhere ist eine web-basierte Anwendung, die im Browser läuft und Javascript fürs Entschlüsseln nutzt.

Ich hab’ mit AgileBits paar Mails ausgetauscht, hier die Antwort (mit frdl. Genehmigung):

All the app is doing is copying your encrypted data and then ask you to enter your master password to decrypt it and once you enter it, it can then use the industry standard encryption processes to decrypt your data and show it to you.

Remember that the app cannot read your decrypted data without you entering the master password first, that's the key to the encryption. It's the same as somebody going up to your company and copy your data file from there but he cannot get into it without knowing your master password.
